“You are Welcome” is a 3 minutes short film. I was working in London at the time and before leaving I wanted to take advantage of the famous Big Ben location in center London.

 

Normally one would need permission to shoot in cities like this, especially close to prominent and famous location. Useless to say we did not have such permission. I had asked a friend of mine (student at the Met-London Film school) to support me with sound equipment, we were a group of 6 people with camera, boom and all we needed.

 

The scene was shot in about 30 minutes, it was all improvised, rain was coming and going, cold wind was terrible and it was only a matter of time before some guard would spot us and tell us off, plus it was literally getting darker by the minute. ISO had to be adjusted for each take just to keep the scene with the same exposure. We smoothly managed to do what we had come to do and get out of there untouched.
